Hyland Manager, Enterprise Medical Imaging Solution Marketing in westlake, Ohio


The Manager, Solution Marketing will lead the Industry Solution Marketing Manager (ISMM) team. This team is responsible for developing the messaging and positioning to fuel the persona-driven content used within outbound and inbound marketing tactics, and to build overall reputation and awareness in the market for Hyland’s industry solution offerings.


  • Build and lead a high performing team of Industry Subject Matter Experts including full staffing, people development, and aligning the team on a collectively developed vision, mission and strategy

  • Effectively communicate goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI) to the team and manage performance, expectations, and visibility across the team

  • Lead the team to success with an “audience-first” marketing approach, ensuring the ISMMs document and target specific buyer personas, their individual and organizational needs, engaging and compelling messaging and a defined list of product and/or solutions appropriate to them

  • Ensure that all positioning & messaging is aligned to The Challenger Sale concept, for the proposed value we deliver in each industry, chosen industry segments as well as the defined list of solutions within each overall industry solution portfolio

  • Facilitate the participation of the team in the go-to-market planning to ensure our messaging surrounding our portfolio of offerings aligns to Hyland’s overall company strategy

  • Align the team with the domestic and international sales leaders for their assigned industries to ensure alignment across the target buyers & buying centers, the buyers journey, messaging & positioning, portfolio of offerings, and measurement of success

  • Hold the team accountable to managing their assigned industry-specific budgets while making recommendations to best optimize marketing spend to accomplish goals

  • Align with the leaders of the Content Marketing and Product Marketing teams to ensure the creation of industry content is aligned to approved messaging, focused on the correct buyer roles and fully supports inbound & outbound marketing efforts and sales enablement initiatives

  • Interface with all levels of organizations, including internal marketing and sales leaders, external customers, executive management & partners

  • Proactively address potential issues and conflict across multiple stakeholders, facilitating a collaborative approach and seeking win-win scenarios whenever possible


  • BS/BA degree in Marketing or marketing-related field, or equivalent field experience. MBA a plus.

  • 10+ years’ experience in product or solution marketing in the B2B technology realm or related field

  • Enterprise medical imaging software marketing experience

  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the CEB challenger Sale methodology and Sirius Decisions Marketing Models

  • Strong writing/presentation building, verbal, written, digital, and graphic communication skills

  • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate your efforts, both short and long term, to meet deadlines and maintain high quality content, without the need for close supervision

  • Knowledge of the enterprise sales process and the product collateral needs for effective value based solution marketing and selling

  • Passion and enthusiasm for learning the Hyland suite of product and solution offerings

  • Up to 20% travel required

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
