Meijer Maintenance Planner in Tipp City, Ohio
Currently, Meijer is looking for a Maintenance Planner. Improves workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays; plans and coordinates labor, parts and material, and equipment access using key performance indicators and metrics. Establishes all routine, preventive, predictive maintenance activities associated with new or relocated assets coming in to the facility. Serves as the liaison between Maintenance and Production/Operations. Practices 200% Safety Accountability – Self and Others.
Plans maintenance procedures based on incoming request specifications; reviews planned work orders with maintenance supervisor or trades employee. Review and screen each work order to see that it has been properly filled out with the required information by the requester of the work.
Analyzes work requirements and determine materials, equipment and labor required (such as blueprints, tools, parts, and trades skill requirements) to complete the work effectively and efficiently.
Ensures that all planned maintenance work is ready to be performed with no delays, including labor requirements for the execution of the work and ensuring all parts and specialty tools are kitted and available whenever needed.
Ensures the established schedule is communicated to all plant stakeholders. Maintains a complete and current backlog of work orders.
Develops and maintains planner reference systems (library) including a file of planned job packages for recurring jobs. Equipment and process specific labor and material information within the library are used to simplify the planning of new jobs.
Stays abreast of production planning changes and modifies the maintenance schedule accordingly. Responsible for reviewing the asset documentation in CMMS to establish all routine maintenance activities and ensure availability of all spare parts required to maintain the asset.
Ensures PM / PdM documentation and required parts / materials are specified, written, procured and initiated for all new plant assets to ensure PM / PdM's are in place prior to asset commissioning.
Participates in commissioning activities.
Serves as principal conduit between Maintenance and Operations for coordination of maintenance tasks
Collaborates with the production department to balance daily output with equipment reliability requirements through proactive maintenance.
Keeps the Maintenance Manager and supervisors informed of abnormal or critical situations.
Serves as the assigned facility's maintenance resource to ensure proper tools, techniques and training are available for all Maintenance personnel.
Performs other duties as required .
High School diploma required. Associate's degree / Trade School preferred
Minimum of three years in Distribution or Manufacturing Maintenance
Supervision / Planning / Scheduling experience, preferably in a distribution or food / beverage manufacturing facility.
Ability to read schematics, drawings and technical manuals and understand complex equipment functionality
Technical writing ability
Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software (PLEX knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Project)
Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating, and resource balancing
Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures
Experience with failure analysis and reliability methodologies and tools
Strong understanding of skilled crafts such as HVAC, electricity and electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and pipe fitting
