Essential Job Functions:
Frame and position value based consulting and training services to technical and business personas
Use knowledge of the relevant customer industry, use cases, technology, processes, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on the value of our business and implementation expertise.
Successfully plan, conduct customer and project scoping meetings
Craft winning statements of work for successful services delivery.
Thrive in a distributed environment, form relationships, and tactfully navigate a distributed organization to find answers and align stakeholders
Present complex solutions concisely in 1:1 and large audience settings
Generate new “services opportunities” through existing relationships, lead-generation, and by scheduling and presenting at marketing events
Follow up and support sales teams on all potential sales pursuits, negotiate terms/pricing/contracts and advance them to close
Participate in weekly sales meetings to present/assess the status of all existing pipeline of leads, opportunities as well as potential future target companies and pursuit strategies
Thrive in large, complex client engagements, working across teams, organizing and leading implementations in these types of environments.
Align with appropriate delivery teams to leverage follow-on business from one delivery project to another
Attend to major Project Milestones and executive Reviews
Travel expectations up to 50%
You are an effective and credible story teller with a strong ability to map customer challenges to our capabilities, regardless of the practice or competency, and can link those conversations back to business outcomes
Strong knowledge of datacenter architecture particularly multi-datacenter and global deployments.
Knowledge and experience with managed cloud environments: AWS, RackSpace, GCE, Azure, Openstack
Strong experience succeeding in many different Software Delivery Lifecycle methodologies
Excellent communication skills to enable the successful implementation of technical vision.
Written, verbal, and presentation skills with English proficiency
Aggressive problem solver with a passion to win
US work authorization and US focus
At least 2+ years experience in positioning solutions which include Apache Cassandra, Apache Solr, and/or Apache Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB and/or other NoSql implementations
At least 8+ years experience in customer-facing positions in a professional services firm. (Preferably this experience includes analytical, big data, and/or management consulting projects)
Software development skills with the ability to communicate well with executives, engineers and developers
Take a leadership role and accountability in working with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals and submissions (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs)
Experience leading efforts with enterprise focus
