Join the exciting New Openings team as the Facilities Manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus and play a vital role in building the attraction brick-by-brick and ensuring that all the fun and magic is being delivered at safe and optimal levels.
Your Magical Role
During pre-opening you will be right in the heart of the magic.With over 1.5 million bricks, you will work closely with the Merlin Magic Making team on the installation of the spectacular MINILAND. During post-opening, on a daily basis, you are responsible for planned and reactive maintenance throughout the attraction to ensure the day-to-day operation is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. With a team of technicians, you will be responsible for ensuring adequate cover is on site during all opening times to maintain all aspects of the attraction including the rides, cinema, and equipment.
Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all aspects of the attraction's equipment and machinery including: HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems as well as rides and themed attractions.
Able to utilize hands-on knowledge and experience to solve problems to sustain minimal downtime of rides and themed attractions for the maximum guest experience.
Position functions will include: custodial duties, re-lamping & lighting systems, painting and wall repair, food and beverage equipment, shipping and receiving as well as exhibit setup and takedown.

Results-driven professional with proven success in process improvement, troubleshooting and repair, and team leadership. Expertise in electrical and mechanical diagnoses, repair, and health and safety. Demonstrated management skills that guide teams to success and establish meaningful relationships with internal and external customers to sustain our new attraction’s operations.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience with 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a technical/themed environment. Specific areas to include: animation, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/electronics, and networks; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience of maintaining flexibility and the highest level of service in high-pressure and/or stressful situations.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary. Education:
