Fifth Third Information Technology is comprised of several areas including: Commercial IT, Consumer IT, Payments IT, Infrastructure IT, Enterprise and Corporate Applications as well as IT Security and Risk.
GENERAL FUNCTION: As a part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations job family, provides high quality data/voice network operational support and provisioning services. Responsible for managing Network Service Delivery activities and developing best practice standards within the ITIL framework.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
#Prioritize and assign support tasks to resources ensuring SLA compliance, and compliance with corporate standards. Monitor work queues to ensure compliance with SLAs.
#Active participant of support team, configuring IP, DNS and switch port changes
#Coordinate resources performing network support function to ensure timely provisioning and effective resolution of issues.
#Develop enterprise service/ operations levels for network provisioning services for both in-house and third party services.
#Develop customer centric procedures and processes for network provisioning services and ensure these processes/ procedures are kept current and support scalable growth
#Responsible for ongoing process analysis to ensure services are efficient and continue to provide value to the customers.
#Act as the primary escalation contact for network service delivery activities
#Collaborate with Network Engineering to mentor other network support personnel, including off shore, to ensure they are acquiring the necessary skill sets to perform their job functions and meet corporate and departmental goals.
#Collaborate with Network Engineering to address chronic problems, conduct root cause analysis and implements solutions
#Collaborate with other departments to automate tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy
#Maintain awareness of new technologies, methodologies and processes to meet current and future needs
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Associate or Bachelor degree or related work experience..
6 or more years of relevant work experience with network operations, protocols, and devices, with the ability to communicate the technology effectively to technical and non-technical employees
#Strong analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail
#Strong working knowledge with Cisco, F5, Checkpoint, InfoBlox technologies
DNS (InfoBlox), Firewalls (ASA, Checkpoint)
#Demonstrate proficiency with the provisioning and troubleshooting of WAN/LAN connectivity technologies
#Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple objectives and initiatives
#Strong business acumen
#Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with clients, staff, and management teams
#Excellent oral and written communication skills
#Certification such as CCNA, CCNP or CCIE a plus
#Working knowledge of ITIL Practices for Service Management a plus
#Experience working in a cross-functional team environment a plus
