Mortgage Banking at Fifth Third Bank encompasses three sales channels # Retail, Direct and Correspondent. It also includes the operations side, with three major Fulfillment Centers in Cincinnati, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Chicago, Illinois. We offer many different mortgage loan options, and our customers look to us when they are thinking about buying a new home, building their dream home, refinancing their existing home, or exploring options for downsizing. Additionally, the Fifth Third partners with the Community College Foundation to bring the Financial Empowerment eBus to our communities. This bus is retrofitted as a mobile classroom that hits the streets to provide financial education on important topics including homeownership. We also play a key role in supporting homeownership by offering refinancing and modification opportunities.


Senior leadership role responsible for leading all support functions across the LOB, including risk management, agency and regulatory needs, issue management, analytics and reporting, linkage with customer experience, processoptimization,vendormanagement. Ensures operations are fully integrated across the Mortgage LOB value chain and the customer journey. Fosters strong partnerships and collaboration with all Mortgage LOB teams along with internal partners to achievedesired outcomes.Worksacross the LOB to ensure transparency and understanding of operating issues, risk and opportunities, including the sound governance, administration and oversight of business activities.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


. Drives risk management and regulatory compliance across the LOB; manages impact of regulatory change.

. Builds and maintains agency and investor relationships.

. Oversees integrated issues management program; drives focus and accountability across the LOB for issue identification, prioritization, ownership and resolution.

. Supports all internal and external audits; coordinates audit prep with impacted areas and manages through issue closure.

. Builds and manages a comprehensive analytics and reporting function to provide quality information that drives decisions across the LOB value chain and customer journey.

. Works with partners to drive positive customer experience; oversees complaint tracking and resolution program.

. Manages and maintains policies and processes that are designed and executed with the customer experience in mind.

. Partners with Business Controls, Enterprise Risk Management and other lines of defense partners to establish, maintain and monitor an integrated risk management program; oversees an integrated quality assurance and quality control program.

. Works across the LOB to develop and maintain integrated, efficient processes that drive customer value and support regulatory compliance.

. Provides oversight and monitoring of LOB vendors.

. Manages multiple, concurrent and complex priorities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate benchstrengthandsuccession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. Assist in the development of appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning.


. Bachelor's Degree in management, finance, economics, related field or equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred.

. 5-10 years of financial services industry, risk, business controls or compliance management experience preferred.

. Strong leadership, critical thinking and collaboration skills required.

. Ability to influence peers, colleagues and managers across business and divisional lines to take action on complex, technical or sensitive topics with company-wide impact.

. Must be analytical and possess ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations across a large, complex business.

. In-depth business or functional expertise as well as knowledge of applicable policies and procedures required.

. Broad working knowledge of banking products and operations required.

. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills required.

. Experience in strategic planning or a related discipline is required.
