As a member of the Global Talent & Organizational Capability COE, the Senior Program Manager, Talent & Organizational Capability will drive impactful development solutions for Functional and Global business partners. This individual will support a variety of projects via learning solutions, organizational assessments and interventions, organization development, culture change, change management, team effectiveness, and organization design all with the end goal of enabling leaders and their organizations to function in an effective, agile fashion. This position will focus on accelerating stakeholder adoption of key programs and methodologies related to global learning & development initiatives, including learning & development programs, change management and risk mitigation associated with organizational and cultural change. They will also be the process owner for key functional areas including learning & development, organization assessment and design, consulting, coaching, functional competency development, and change management and will act as a liaison to functional business clients to enable the effective execution of global learning & development strategies to enhance capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advise and assist Global business leaders and HR partners on complex business challenges utilizing organization effectiveness principles, processes, and tools. Includes assisting leaders in identifying and assessing areas of greatest need, crafting and articulating a clear direction and vision for the future state, diagnosing the organizations current state, designing organizations future state and creating and executing a change and transition plan to realize improved results.

  • Organizational Effectiveness Research - Lead and manage organizational effectiveness research for Goodyear; Research and keep abreast of trends, best practices, and opportunities in the areas of performance management, organizational effectiveness, and employee development; Develop and conduct training sessions for HR professionals and business managers on topics impacting organizational effectiveness.

  • People & Organization Effectiveness - Partner with HR teams to influence organizational effectiveness and talent management through initiatives and project work related to organizational design, succession planning, talent assessment, talent development / coaching and enhancing management capabilities. Responsible for working, building relationships, and executing across organizational boundaries to drive program and project results. Leads projects and mobilizes groups of people to adopt the new approaches. Facilitates formal and informal learning related to HR initiatives (competency models, change, org culture, mentoring, systems, etc). Understands when and how to acquire additional resources and/or subject matter experts when needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in HR, IO Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications or Business

  • MBA, Masters Degree in Organizational Development, IO Psychology or related field preferred

  • 10+ years experience in organizational effectiveness/development, Change Management and/or Human Resources with progressive responsibility.

  • Solid experience in linking corporate goals down to a team and individual level.

  • Experience deploying change management, organization effectiveness, team effectiveness, or organization design processes/tools.

  • Experience supporting functional/technical groups.

  • Used to handling confidential information and acts with highest integrity.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of organization effectiveness principles such as management and leadership development principles, organizational change management, culture assessments, organization design, team effectiveness, organizational assessment methodologies/tools, coaching and consulting, OD principles, and relevant OE metrics and analytics.

  • Experience with research and data collection methods including focus groups, subject matter expert interviews, surveys, etc.

  • Project management experience with good attention to detail, organizational skills, and experience managing multiple high visibility projects.

  • Strong communication skills including group presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and consultative skills (i.e., ability to influence without positional power, ability to establish and maintain strong networks and relationships, ability to interact with all organizational levels with credibility, and ability to manage conflict with key stakeholders that results in desired outcomes).

  • Ability to think strategically as well as deploy detailed tactical, results-driven implementation plans. Capable of flexing between big picture strategy and detailed focus.
