Kelly Services Machine Operator - Braider Operator in Akron, Ohio

Job Description

Monitor the braider machines and make adjustments in order to meet production and quality standards.


  1. Meet all production standards.

  2. Understanding and achievement of all quality requirements specified in HPN-s (Hygenic Product Number).

  3. Notify lead or production manager if employee can not meet production standards or does not have the appropriate training or tools.

  4. Notify lead/supervisor of any unsafe conditions within their work area.

  5. Correct or notify lead/supervisor of any quality problems with material.

  6. Follow all processing specifications outlined in the BOP (basic operating procedure).

  7. Notify lead/supervisor if employee can not perform the required job duties whether physical or otherwise.

  8. Maintain a clean work environment using the 5S cleaning form.

  9. Order raw tubing using braider kanban system.

  10. Check viscosity of glue per BOP (Basic Operating Procedure).

  11. Maintain all documents as required.

  12. Communicate with other operators from other shifts.

  13. All other duties as assigned.


  1. Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

  2. Order raw materials and labels. Maintain material supply adhering to just in time manufacturing principles.

  3. Package product according to the HPN.
