  • This 1st shift position will provide production scheduling, planning for our Masonite production departments. The individual will plan and establish production schedules, recommend batch sizes, giving consideration to load, capacity, and efficient utilization of equipment. In addition will notify material planning of needed raw materials, plans forecasted items, and maintains various logs, schedules, etc.

  • Plans and establishes production schedule to meet customer demands, sales forecasts and customer delivery requirements.

  • Daily communication with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, Replenishment, Customer Service departments and Logistics company.

  • Successfully coordinate with the Purchasing department to meet and objective production schedule for the facility.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide necessary information to and support to Manufacturing Manager, Purchasing department, Inventory Control, and Accounting department.

  • Estimates production time for each order giving consideration to availability of machines, material and tooling, number of operations involved, manufacturing backlog, order quantity, complexity of product (i.e. assemblies), previous history, outside operations, etc.

  • Examines the status of each order by reviewing work-in-process, open orders, material status, over-dues, etc. and checking with schedulers and expediters.

  • Audits work-in-process for potential short yields, order closing, abnormal delays, and progress, and advise schedulers and production supervisors of problems and request corrective actions.

  • Assist in development of new or improvement manufacturing and production control systems as it relates to scheduling

  • Must be-able to identify problems in supporting customer requirements and coordinate efforts of manufacturing and support groups to prevent/or resolve issues and maintain integrity of schedule dates.


  • Associate Degree or equivalent, plus 3-5 years in a manufacturing planning environment.

  • Six sigma Lean GB or ability to become certified within one year.

  • Demonstrated understanding of scheduling systems, inventory management, and capacity planning practices in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Detailed orientation, reliable and organized.

  • Must be assertive, communicative individual, who is highly motivated to self-direct.

  • Must have demonstrated experience implementing systems and communicate effectively across functional groups.

  • Ability to provide extended flexible work hours, as work-load and projects requires.

  • Effective team-member is essential in this key role.

  • Ability to use MS-Office (Word, Excel, E-Mail and other Windows-based applications.)

  • Additional experience with MRP systems, MS-Access SQL highly desired.
