          University Hospitals Sr. Change Management Specialist in Shaker Heights Ohio United States

          Position Summary:

          This position will be responsible for providing project leadership in the areas of change management, communications and clinical end user adoption support for implementation of an enterprise wide electronic health record. This includes preparing departmental tactical and strategic plans.Performs complex data analysis functions, leading EMR healthcare informatics in regards to end user adoption of clinical technology.Conducts needs assessments and makes recommendations based on change management best practices to improve end user adoption of clinical technology.

          Essential Duties:
          Communications and Healthcare Informatics:

          Produces presentations and coaches sponsors from all levels of the organization to support sponsorship communication strategies.

          Leads event planning as it pertains to change awareness initiatives.

          Creates and facilitates communication strategies to key EHR clinical communities which include executive leadership.

          Identifies pockets of clinical resistance and develops action plans for mitigation.

          Appraises the EMR healthcare informatics needs, designs and produces clinical adoption measurement tools.

          Customizes and presents clinical adoption reports to Executive leadership.

          Takes initiative to master the EHR clinical systems in order to represent the EHR to key clinical communities, independently answering questions and triaging issues.

          Change Management:
          Assists in the development and mentoring of the EHR team members on essential change management skills.

          Functions as an active participant on the EHR implementation team; independently addresses clinical end-user adoption issues and proactively resolves them.

          Acts as a change agent within the organization and motivates clinical end-user adoption of the EHR.

          Proactively develops clinical adoption plans, in conjunction with the clinicians and project teams; plans will focus on communications, coaching, sponsorship and resistance management to ensure 100% user adoption of the EHR.

          Provides clinical adoption project leadership for the functional project teams in executing their plans according to strict timelines.

          Collaborates with the Change Management and Communications Manager, as well as other operational and clinical leaders, in forming and communicating the vision of positive and necessary change inherent to the implementation of the Electronic Health Record.
          Experience & Knowledge:

          5+ years healthcare experience with a strong emphasis on change management required.

          Experience interacting with upper management and executive level professionals required.

          Marketing/communications, project management experience preferred.

          Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.

          Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of end users, with varying skill levels and function effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

          Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.

          Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills a must.

          Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations required.

          Relevant electronic medical record experience preferred.

          Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

          Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) required.
          Education:

          Bachelor's degree required.

          Master's degree preferred.
