Diebold, Inc. Demand Analyst - Global Service in North Canton, Ohio
The Demand Analyst creates and maintains forecast models for Global Service Logistics (GSL) distribution center for the Americas line of business, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from historical consumption data, sales, service operations and account teams.
This highly visible Demand Analyst position is responsible for managing the Global Service Supply Chain planning process including monthly forecasting, setting stocking levels within GSL, part availability analysis and reporting, and overall inventory management. Process and tools utilized include but are not limited to General Adaptive Inventory Solution (GAINS) planning system, Oracle/OBIEE, Oracle/Spares Management and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Objectives for this role also include:
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that maximize overall service parts inventory utilization and OTD (On Time Delivery) performance while achieving all working capital goals.
Closely coordinate and communicate action plans with Management, Service Operations, Finance and Account Teams.
Provide input to the organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs (life cycle management) for multiple demand streams.
Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons and demand streams as part of a demand planning function.
Review historical usage trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or equivalent is required.
3+ years of industry experience in required.
Service Industry Spare Parts or Retail Inventory Management Experience in preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Access and Materials Planning Applications is required.
Experience with Supply & Demand Best Practices.
Experience with Inventory Control & Management Best Practices.
Experience in Data driven decision making processes.
Experience with Oracle or SAP, preferred.
Forecasting models/concepts that include extended replenishment cycle times is required.
Experience with Business & Working Capital Analytics and Financial Analysis.
KPI Drivers – Line Fill Rate, Back Order Lines, Inventory Days on Hand (DOH) & Days of Supply (DOS), Excess & Obsolete.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel and management.
