/ Consumer Lending Settlement /
/ Settlement is a department comprised of 4 different teams: /
/ Reconcilement Team: Verification of Association Settlement, Payment, BT, Convenience Check, CBR, Reward Check Processing. Funds Transfers & General Ledger Reconciliation Accounting with all functions completed daily. /
/ Research Team: BPM/CL cases (payments, BT’s, convenience checks, CBR’s,) with a 25 business day SLA. Rejected & Returned payments processing. Various other exception financial processes. /
/ Rewards Research Team: BPM Cases (missing or incorrect points/miles. Partner spreadsheets, Partner and Office of the President Escalation mailbox, Partner Operations Portal (for file transmissions with partners).Works closely with Segment/US Cards and Problem management. /
/ Support Team: Correspondence functions not handled off-shore Metasource queues. Dispute Support functions. Retrievals functions: Statement, application and other document copy requests. /
Overall purpose of role:
The purpose of a Consumer Lending Support Services Analyst is to balance the management of many different processes aligned to Consumer Lending payment issues. The role requires that agent have a strong knowledge of the payment processes.
/ / Key Accountabilities and Skills Required: * *
Actively manage a caseload of 80 cases while maintaining departmental production, quality, and aging standards.
Research and resolve Balance Transfer, Payment and CBR inquiries.
Research rejected transactions and post cardholder adjustments via TSYS TS2.
Process payment returns.
Keep customer informed of status of inquiry and next steps.
Receives significant guidance from policy and procedure.
Can exercise some judgment in carrying out routine assignments with guidelines.
Receives specific instructions on unusual situations or matters that depart from established procedures.
Knowledge of credit card processing.
Strong analytical and decision making skills.
Proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a cross functional team.
Ability to handle a variety of functions and to meet daily deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PC skills including use of MS Excel and MS Word.
** 2 or more years of bank operations experience specializing in any of the following: settlement, reconcilement, check research and investigations / adjustments.

Be a resource for policy, procedure, and human resources questions/issues.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include: * *
oBasic Qualifications:o 1-3 years experience in banking or credit card Service Center o High School Diploma or Equivalent o Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred to have had experience in Operations or Customer Service
o Thorough knowledge of Barclaycard systems, procedures, and regulations.
o Excellent judgment, professionalism, leadership
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to deliver feedback effectively and express thoughts concisely.
