Design and develop self-service learning resources and certification programs for customers and internal customer care teams; through audience analysis, identification of participant/job roles, and participant training/learning requirements. Liaison with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to create effective revenue impacting blended learning programs. Develop, collaborate and lead instructional design development, ongoing performance management tools and programs, assessments and evaluations. Liaison with the LMS administrator(s) to ensure effective content management, external and internal delivery and support mechanisms.

Accountabilities:

  1. Collaborate extensively with SMEs, internal/external customers, and management to analyze training needs, design effective performance improvement solutions, and align learning initiatives with business needs.

  2. Design and implement course development process.

  3. Provide editorial and instructional design direction for course content.

  4. Design and develop instructional materials using instructional systems design (OSD) methods and implement adult learning principals to create effective training and curricula for both classroom and web-based formats. Instructional materials include storyboards, scripts, course content (including simulations, role play, activities, case studies, and experiential activities), pre- and post-tests, and student and facilitator directions for blended learning solutions.

  5. End-to-end project management of course development. Managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  6. Customer eLearning Development:

a. Identify and understand gaps in eLearning offerings and prioritize the design of such.

b. Team with SMEs and content developer to create scripts, content design requirements and guidelines.

c. Coordinate eLearning placement within product and on customer support sites.

  1. Internal Customer Care Personnel Training Development:

a. Identify and understand gaps in knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics to identify instructional needs that will require training.

b. Develop learning strategies and plans based on outcome of needs assessment.

c. Team with SMEs and Performance Consultant(s) to develop and implement certification program.

d. Create knowledge-based and demonstration testing.

  1. Incorporate feedback and data for future improvement of training courses and materials.

Qualifications:

  1. BS Degree or equivalent relevant education with 5+ year?s experience in a business environment. Consulting, sales, information industry or technology industry, and instructional design experience is a plus.

  2. Proven experience setting team goals and motivating others to consistently achieve them.

  3. Successful execution of leading or sponsoring process improvement projects. Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher preferred with a commitment to acquire a Green Belt or higher

  4. Experience of utilizing a data focused approach to improve customer experience and support better business outcomes.

  5. Track record of leveraging technology to help customers self-serve better and/or deliver a better customer experience.

  6. Advanced interviewing, instructional analysis, and evaluation skills and the ability to translate analysis results into practical learning solutions.

  7. Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory, and performance improvement methodologies to create blended learning and performance intervention programs.

  8. Strong project management, time management and organizational skills

  9. Experience in developing high quality revenue impacting blended curriculum, classroom, self-directed, virtual classroom, and eLearning self-service modules.

  10. Experience working in a team in a highly complex matrixes corporate environment.

  11. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
