  • L3Technologies is a prime contractor in Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR) systems, aircraft modernization and maintenance, and government services. L3 is also a leading provider of a broad range of electronic systems used on military and commercial platforms. Our customers include the U.S. Department of Defense and its prime contractors, U.S. Government intelligence agencies, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Justice, allied foreign governments, domestic and foreign commercial customers and select other U.S. federal, state and local government agencies.L3 Space and Sensor Systems Technology Center is currently in need of a Software Configuration Analyst to support new product development within the IR and Space Products development team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that designs and implements infrared cameras, spacecraft and launch vehicle communication, and avionics equipment.

  • Perform version control and labeling of builds and all supporting documentation

  • Management and Administration of the source code control system

  • Administer CM tools used to store, track and manage configuration items

  • Prepare and submit monthly SCM activity reports

  • Develop software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on software development projects

Qualifications

  1. Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience directly related to Software Configuration Management or Software Development

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management processes, principles and practices

  • Prior Experience in a software development environment is a Plus, but not requiredEducation

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, science, IS or business from an accredited college or university is required.

  • CM Certification (CMPIC) is desired.General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

  • Expert use of industry standard version control/management tools, especially Perforce, PVCS, Subversion (SVN), GIT, etc.

  • Expert use of automated build tools such as QuickBuild, Jenkins.

  • Expert use of issue tracking tools such as JIRA, PVCS Tracker, etc.

  • Experience with scripting languages (bash, python, groovy) and/or our major development languages (C , C#, LabView, VHDL)

  • Knowledge of Process Improvement concepts such as Six Sigma, Kaizan, Kanban, etc.

  • Working knowledge of CMMI

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint

  • Proficiency with networked personal computers and the internet

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and multi-task several projects in a diverse team environment

  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written

  • Ability to coordinate with and motivate other individuals
