          Our Retirement team combines expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support global organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering and communicating all types of retirement plans.           The Role

          This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to accelerate career growth by helping us accelerate growth in this sizeable market. As a Retirement Actuarial Consultant you will apply your consulting, actuarial, and project management expertise in the areas of plan design, compliance and risk & financial management to Fortune 1000 and other tax-exempt organizations of similar size. You will help clients achieve their evolving business objectives by aligning their defined benefit, retiree welfare and defined contribution plans accordingly.

          Given the size and complexity of our client portfolio, in addition to core plan management work, you will have the opportunity to support diverse projects related to mergers and acquisitions, plan design and strategy, asset liability studies, forecasting, early retirement windows, global consulting and other special projects as needed.

          Performance Objectives:
          Clients
           Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients:
           Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
           Serve as the day to day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
           Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services
           Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
           Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
           Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Senior Consultants and Client Relationship Managers
           Work alongside senior staff to provide hands-on support establishing credibility and building relationships with significant prospect organizations.

          Excellence

           Provide value-added consulting expertise on retirement plan valuation, management and design, financial risk management and funding projects, and special projects involving global consulting, strategic workforce planning and total rewards strategies
           Ensure clients are regularly informed about the implications and opportunities that changing laws and regulations have related to their retirement plans
           Perform technical check of work products
           Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches

          Financial
           Meet revenue and billable hour goals as described by manager
           Support the generation of new business as part of the broader team
           Participate in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader team
           Directly contribute to clients’ success through applying your technical expertise

          People
           Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
           Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
           Serve as mentor to project team associates

          The Requirements

           7+ years experience and success delivering retirement/defined benefit consulting services to Fortune 1,000 or organizations of similar size
           Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
           Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships; some experience in growing relationships with current clients
           Strong interpersonal and team skills
           Polished and well developed oral and written communication skills
           Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity
           Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
           Strong analytical and creative skills
           Enjoys training/mentoring junior staff
           The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
           Intellectual curiosity and the desire to expand one’s business acumen in the retirement and human capital consulting field
           Working knowledge of Excel, MS Project, MS Word
           BA/BS degree plus ASA and EA designation; significant progress toward FSA desired
